Music Ministry Worship at Queen’s Chapel United Methodist Church

“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.” [Psalms 96:1] The music ministry of Queen’s Chapel is under the leadership of the director of music. The music ministry comprises several choirs, all accepting new members year-round. The various choirs are:

Queen’s Chapel Church Choir serves on the first Sunday. This choir sings hymns, spirituals, and gospel music from all genres. This choir also sings for services of Holy Communion. Rehearsals are on Tuesday before the 1st Sunday.

The second Sunday Ensemble serves on the second Sunday. This choir sings current gospel and worship music. The membership of this choir is comprised of young adults. Rehearsals are on the Friday before the 2nd  Sunday.

The Queen’s Chapel Male Chorus (Male Chorus) serves on the third Sunday. The Male Chorus sings various gospel music and spirituals arranged for male voices. This is an all-men’s group that rehearses the Tuesday before the 3rd Sunday.

The Youth Choir serves on either the fourth or fifth Sunday. The Youth Choir sings modern gospel music while learning to conduct themselves during church worship. The choir is comprised of youth from ages 5 to 18. Rehearsals are on Fridays before the 4th or 5th Sundays.

The Youth Choir and/or the Second Sunday Ensemble may provide the music for the fifth Sunday. Rehearsals are on Friday before the 5th Sunday.

We are also blessed to feature the melodious talents of various soloists during worship services and auxiliary programs. Rehearsals begin at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

The choir director occasionally changes or adds rehearsals as needed.
